Project title
Diffusion of Innovations in Logistics sector
Project description
My research examines how innovations in logistics take shape and spread across different contexts. By bringing together evidence from patents, trademarks, and academic publications, I trace the emergence of technologies such as automation, digital platforms, and sustainability solutions, and follow how they move across regions and industries.
The project combines large-scale data analysis with case studies of logistics firms to understand the journey from invention to market adoption. In doing so, it highlights the frictions and enablers that influence diffusion—whether distance, institutional capacity, or local market conditions. While logistics is increasingly global, its adoption of new technologies remains deeply shaped by local realities, particularly in developing economies. The findings aim to inform both academic debates on innovation diffusion and the decisions of policymakers and industry leaders seeking to foster more inclusive and effective innovation pathways.
