Project title
Green Financial Instability and Firm Choices
Project description
My PhD project, titled “Green Financial Instability and Firm Choices”, investigates how climate and environmental policies interact with financial markets and the wider economy through firms’ decisions. The dissertation consists of three chapters. The first chapter is empirical, applying econometrics and spatial econometrics to UK firm-level data to explore peer effects in green investment decisions. The second chapter develops a dynamic model of firms’ choices to study their macroeconomic impacts. The third chapter is being undertaken as part of a research visit to Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where I extend their agent-based model by introducing additional green policies to analyse their effects on decarbonisation and the economy.

Biography
I am a PhD researcher in Economics at Queen Mary University of London. My research lies at the intersection of climate economics, ecological economics, and macroeconomics, with a particular focus on green financial instability and firm behaviour under climate policy. I hold an MSc in Economics with Distinction from SOAS University of London, where my dissertation developed a stock–flow consistent model of climate-induced financial crises.
