The effects of avatars realism on consumer inference of manipulative intent

Yuetong’s research investigates how the degree of realism in avatar design influences consumer persuasion.

Biography

Yuetong is a PhD candidate in the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London. Prior to joining QMUL, she worked as a Data Analyst at Mininglamp and as an Analyst at NielsenIQ. She holds an MSc in Applied Data Science and Statistics from the University of Exeter. Her research interests focus on emerging technologies in marketing communication, particularly in the areas of avatars and virtual influencers.
