Zeenat’s research explores how leadership dynamics and ESG orientation influence innovation resilience in family firms under strategic constraints. Adopting a multilevel perspective, her study examines the interplay between generational stewardship, board dynamics, and governance structures in shaping strategic decision-making. The research contributes to understanding how family firms manage socioemotional wealth and strategic slack to maintain innovation resilience across generations, particularly under conditions of financial and operational constraints.

Biography
Zeenat Murtaza is a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Associate at Queen Mary University of London. Her academic journey reflects a deep commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and the pursuit of impactful research in finance and governance. She holds an MS in Finance and a BBA (Hons) from leading universities in Pakistan, both awarded with academic distinction. Zeenat is a recipient of a fully funded PhD scholarship from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and was also awarded Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Her research has been published in Jinnah Business Review, with a paper titled “Corporate Governance and Firm Performance: A Study on Moderating Effects of Firm Size and Leverage in the Banking Sector of Pakistan.” She has presented her work at leading conferences including EFMA, EUFIN, EAA, BAM, and ICETM.
Zeenat brings over six years of professional experience as a Credit Risk Analyst at a financial institution, where she specialized in credit proposal structuring, asset-based lending, and regulatory compliance. Her industry background informs her teaching and research, bridging academic theory with practical application.
