Full width image with caption

The Full-width Image With Caption content type can used for adding larger images with a caption to your webpage.

When to use a Full Width Image with Caption

Use a Full Width Image with Caption when you want to add imagery to your T4 page, with two image size options and a caption of your choice underneath. Make sure that your image follows our best practice rules and is uploaded with alternative text.

Example

The Full Width Image with Caption content type should contain -  

  • Caption.
  • Image (please ensure you have the correct permissions for any image you use).
  • Width selection that best serves your content.

Creating a Full Width Image with Caption

Components

This content type only has one component and can be added directly to the page on which you would like it to appear. 
 
If the ‘Full width image with caption’ content type is not listed as an option once you have selected '+ Add Content', please contact websupport@qmul.ac.uk.

Adding the content type to your webpage 

Below are the different fields you will fill in when creating a Full Width Image with Caption, and what information you should include. 

Name 

This is how your content type will be named within the backend of T4 and will not be publicly visible. 

Image

Make sure the image follows accessibility guidelines and has been adjusted to fit each variant.  

Width

You have a choice between two widths – Large (same width as a Promo Block) and Medium (same width as General Content).

Caption

Add a caption that provides context to the image and how it relates to the content around it.
