Related links
Related links are a great way to signpost viewers to relevant content rather than them reach the bottom of the page and leave your website.
When to use Related Links
The Related Links content type allows you to add a row of three or four signposting links to the bottom of your webpage. These links shouldn’t be central to the user journey you are wanting to create, but are instead things somebody might also be interested in.
You do not have to add these to your webpages unless you have specific places you would like to signpost to.
Example
Related Links appear within a grey band at the bottom of your webpage, and include -
- Image
- Heading
- Description sentence.
Creating Related Links
Components
This content type has two components, and you will need both for the it to appear on a webpage. Both components sit directly on the page you would like the content type to appear on. These components are -
- Related Link Container (this pulls your links into one place)
- Related Link Card (these are the individual signpost links)
If both the above components are not listed as an option once you have selected '+ Add Content', please contact websupport@qmul.ac.uk.
