A warm welcome if you are new to QMUL!
Are you interested in learning about the centrally available technologies that can be used in teaching to engage with students? Our team (Technology Enhanced Learning Team, or TELT for short) is responsible for institution-wide learning applications such as (but not limited to):
- QMplus, the online learning environment (Based on Moodle and Mahara)
- Turnitin to assist with similarity detection
- Echo360 for lecture capture
- Kaltura for media storage and streaming
- MS Teams for online teaching
- Mentimeter and Padlet for polls and responses
- Brickfields for digital accessibility
- and more...
In this session, we will:
- Uncover what technologies are available and how they are used in teaching across QMUL.
- Share insights and recordings from QMUL staff and students about their use of these technologies.
- Give you access to our interactive digital handbook, created by QMUL students, with tips and videos.
- Walk you through where to get further support and who to contact within TELT.
We hope you will also have an opportunity to meet other colleagues around the University, especially if you are new to QMUL!
