New Features
On 8th July 2025, QMplus was upgraded and received a few updates and new features. Below is a list of some of the top updates to be aware of. You can either watch the video below, or you can click through the list, expanding each item to read about the changes.
Well, not really a new feature, but a change to an existing one. The QMplus module search has moved to the right hand side of the Dashboard, giving more room at the top for the Timeline.
This is for students to be able to easily see any due dates and upcoming module activities.
Starred Modules - there is a scrollbar that now appears under the starred modules on the Dashboard.
If you have a lot of modules starred, you may prefer to view your starred modules within the 'My Modules' section where there is no scrollbar.
There are now some new shortcut icons under the module cards takes you straight to different sections of the module.
You will also see that our icons within the module area have been updated and have received a bit of a facelift.
A Subsection is a section within a section. You can add several subsections, and within each subsection you can add Activities or Resources for your students. This may be useful to help organise content within your sections.
Expanding sections and section on a page:
Click on the arrow to expand and collapse an individual section. Click on the section title to open the section on a new page.
It may not be obvious how to add a new section (or topic) in the updated QMplus. You will need to hover over an existing section to add a new section. You will see another '+' sign appear.
If you can't see it, try collapsing all of your sections, and then it should appear when you hover your mouse over a section.
Sticky footer at the end of the gradebook makes it easier to navigate across the gradebook.
Click on the Gradebook header to go straight to a particular activity.
Again, not a new feature, but a change to an existing one.
The 'View submissions' used to be a button, but this option has now moved to the top menu on the Assignment page.
[TinyMCE] The new editor offers a more modern, user-friendly, and accessible editing experience, with enhanced formatting options and better integration of multimedia elements. It resembles common text editors like Microsoft Word, providing a more intuitive and familiar interface. The older editors are being retired, making TinyMCE the default and only supported editor in newer Moodle versions.
