Overview

Explore how digital technologies shape cultures, communities, and creativity around the world.

BA Digital Media at Queen Mary University of London offers an exciting opportunity to study the dynamic ways in which media and technologies produce, transmit, and transform global cultures. From literature and film to social media and immersive platforms, this interdisciplinary degree helps you make sense of how cultural forms are created and consumed in the digital age.

You’ll investigate how digital media reframes our understanding of history, identity, and global connection and how these shifts are shaping the future. With a focus on cultures from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, this programme will develop your ability to think critically and creatively across cultural boundaries.

Through a combination of analytical and practical work, you’ll not only study digital and cultural content - you’ll also learn how to create and publish it. You’ll build core skills in digital literacy, critical thinking, and cross-cultural communication, while exploring emerging trends in technology, creativity, and global media.

Whether you’re interested in digital storytelling, creative production, publishing, journalism, or cultural analysis, BA Digital Media equips you with the tools to make an impact.
