Profile
I am a Chartered Psychologist working in the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis. I joined in March 2025 as a qualitative researcher on the MEDLEY study (Methods of Early Detection of Lung cancEr in PrimarY Care). MEDLEY is a feasibility study aiming to assess the deliverability, acceptability and impact of changing the pathway of initial investigation for patients with suspected lung cancer from chest x-ray to low-dose CT scanning.
Prior to joining QMUL, I spent six years working as a research assistant on several projects in the field of patient decision-making and decision aid development, most recently on a study in the field of cancer and fertility preservation. At the beginning of 2025, I completed my doctoral studies at the University of the West of England, Bristol, allowing me to register with the HCPC as a health psychologist. My thesis was a qualitative study exploring the experiences of people with bulimia nervosa who had received cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to treat this eating disorder.
