Profile

I am a MRes + PhD student at QMUL on the Health Data in Practice PhD Programme funded by the Wellcome Trust. My research focuses on clustering methods to understand the multi-omic heterogeneity of cardiometabolic diseases in South Asians under the supervision of Dr. Moneeza Siddiqui, Dr. Daniel Stow and Prof. Sarah Finer. My research is primarily based on the Genes & Health study as well the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation bioresource based in India.

Previously, I did a 4-year integrated Master’s (MSci) degree in Computational Biology at UCL, with a Master’s dissertation on ‘Selection forces shaping mutagenesis in human cancers’ at the Secrier Lab of Computational Cancer Biology.

Outside academia, I worked as a Research Assistant in Data Analysis at Lancaster University, Postgraduate Teaching Assistant in healthcare innovation at UCL, and Clinical Coder at Dyad AI. Before that, I was a Bioinformatics Intern at the Dessimoz Lab of Computational Evolutionary Biology in the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB).

My research interests include genetics, epidemiology and data analysis.
