Profile
Michail graduated from Medical School of Athens back in 2011. He then moved to the UK to pursue foundation and specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is trained at North Central East London Deanery. He completed his doctorate thesis in molecular biomarkers of early rectal cancer at King's College London back in 2018. He has published over 90 peer reviewed articles in molecular oncology, precision preventive medicine and surgical education. He has completed a 9-month fellowship in evidence synthesis as part of a funded NIHR placement during his specialty training. Michail is currently working as a subspecialty trainee in Gynaecological Oncology at the Royal London Hospital. He also works as an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Gynaecological Oncology at Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine under the supervision of Professor Ranjit Manchanda. The focus of his post doc research is on Prevention and Precision Medicine, and he is working on trials led by his mentor, Professor Manchanda. He is recently commenced training in Cancer Genomics and Big Data Science.
