Profile

I am a Research Fellow with a background in speech and language therapy and applied health research. I am currently working on a project funded by the Barts Charity Research Seed Grant: "Let’s Talk Differently about Medicines: Exploring story-sharing groups to support older people affected by polypharmacy". The research is being conducted in collaboration with Care City; an East London-based community interest organisation with a remit to improve healthy ageing.

We will explore how, to what extent, and under what conditions a community-based group intervention prompts personal story-sharing, collective sensemaking and action relating to polypharmacy in the context of ageing. The research is underpinned by a collection of illustrated fictional stories co-designed with older adults.

Research Interests:

I use a wide range of qualitative methods to explore the experiences of service users and healthcare professionals, with a particular interest in ethnographic approaches.
