Sikhu is a Data Analyst and Statistician, with interdisciplinary skills in the fields of health research, epidemiology, healthcare insurance, banking and finance.
At the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED), Sikhu specialises in data management, statistical modelling and analysis of large-scale primary and secondary healthcare datasets (CPRD, HES & NHS linked data) - to generate insights that support the development of clinical guidelines and innovations in cancer screening, prevention and early diagnosis.
Sikhu has previously worked at the Institute of Cancer Research, where she worked across several different projects ranging from data linkage between clinical trials and NHS England routine data – to enhance trial efficiency and outcomes, observational studies to Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.
Sikhu holds academic qualifications in Epidemiology & Biostatistics (MSc) and Mathematical Statistics (BSc Honours) from The University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and a BSc Honours in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Science & Technology, Zimbabwe.
