Claudine is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Neff Lab, working on the Work for AI Safety (WAIS) project, a UK AI Security Institute-funded initiative investigating how workers can identify and respond to sociotechnical risks posed by AI in the workplace. She conducts participatory research with union leaders through the Trades Union Congress to co-develop workplace AI risk monitoring frameworks, integrating co-design and policy best practices into guidance for front-line workplace AI monitoring.
She recently completed her DPhil in Cyber Security at the University of Oxford, where she investigated how users engage with platform moderation tools to support their wellbeing. Before joining DERI, she spearheaded the development of the Digital Good Index, a forthcoming framework for evaluating the societal impacts of digital technologies.
