Visiting Academics: We seek to collaborate widely with researchers from across the world, and welcome expressions of interest from those waiting to collaborate with DERI as part of a visiting researcher opportunity. We encourage anyone in this position to research out directly to our academic staff, to discuss collaborations and opportunities in DERI. Professor of AI - Deadline May 11th 2025

We seek to appoint an exceptional researcher as Professor of AI. In this role, you will be a key member of the DERI leadership team, contributing to development, as well as inspiring, and leading on expanding research in this space to deliver outstanding, interdisciplinary research impact. Applications are welcomed from those working across the breadth of the AI remit, and the exact job title will be defined with the successful candidate based on their research area, and vision for the role. We view the remit in broad terms, involving digital technologies, data science, machine learning, and AI across any domain, and particularly welcome applications from those with a background of working across discipline.

Bioinformatician (MDR-RA) - Deadline May 13th 2025

Jointly hosted between DERI and the William Harvey Research Institute, we are recruiting for a Bioinformatician to join the EU funded MRA-RA project. This position is well-suited for a researcher with experience in bioinformatics and AI, keen to apply their expertise to advance precision medicine for rheumatoid arthritis. You will analyse multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc.) and medical images from patients with rheumatoid arthritis, with a focus on identifying biomarkers and developing predictive algorithms for drug resistance. This role involves collaborating with researchers at Queen Mary University of London and across a large international consortium.
