Understanding which Academic Regulations and Policies apply

• Academic Regulations The Academic Regulations that apply to you are based on the first year you commenced your programme.* This means that if you started your studies in the 2023-2024 academic year, the regulations from that year will apply to you throughout your programme.
  
  *Subject to exceptions specified in the regulations. Please review the regulations carefully and exercise your own discretion. If you require assistance, contact the Academic Quality and Standards team (linked below).
• Policies Unlike Academic Regulations, policies are applied based on the year of the event. For example, the Appeal Policy for 2023-24 will apply to all examinations or assessments held in the 2023-24 academic year, regardless of when you started your programme.
