Is Denmark leading Europe in the fight against deepfakes?
Professor Julia Hörnle appeared on TRT World's Roundtable discussing Denmark's new draft deepfake copyright law, and whether other countries will follow suit.

The proposed law will give individuals in Denmark full image rights over their features, including their face and voice, in a bid to fight AI generated deepfakes. Julia Hörnle, Professor of Internet Law at Queen Mary University of London, said: "We need to have a two-pronged approach. One is that the social media platforms where this content appears should have to proactively find this content and either label it or take it down. But really the tech companies should act and prevent malicious deepfakes and the question is whether the law should provide standards for them because it's very difficult to find the user who has created the deepfake."
