School of Law success at the QMSU Education Awards
The School of Law came top in two categories at this year’s Queen Mary Students’ Union Education Awards.
Ruth Fletcher, Professor of Law, came top in the Teacher of the Year category. This award is given to outstanding all-round teachers who are enthusiastic about their subject and are committed to getting the best out of their students.
Dr Dimitri Van Den Meerssche, Senior Lecturer in Law and IHSS Fellow, was named Assessment and Feedback Champion at the awards ceremony. This award is for a member of academic or assessment staff who sets the benchmark in assessment and feedback. They provide detailed and helpful feedback in a timely manner and create an environment to ensure students achieve their best possible outcomes.
Also, up for this award was Dr Fletcher, and Centre for Commercial Law Studies’ Dr Gail Evans.
