SOLM333 Sustainable Finance and the Corporation
Module description
This course examines how we should design, finance, and regulate corporations in order to align their incentives with sustainability issues in general and climate change in particular. The course will focus on issues such as the concept of sustainability, the relationship between sustainability and the corporation, the design of a sustainable corporation, the role of asset managers and the financial industry in general as stewards of sustainability, and the recent policy initiatives and regulation. The course is strongly committed to presenting a global and comparative perspective highlighting the contemporary principles and trends of sustainable business and finance.
