Module description
The module will focus on the public international law aspects of shipping (primarily issues of jurisdiction) and the regulatory and compliance issues (with a focus on decarbonisation of shipping). The module will cover ship registration including the use of so called ‘flags of convenience’, a topic which cuts across many of the regulatory issues including compliance with decarbonisation-related requirements (e.g. Carbon Intensity Indicators for vessels).
