As a Student Advisor for qLegal, I had the opportunity to conduct a workshop for the students of Ada National College for Digital Skills. Preparing for the workshop along with two fellow Advisors and presenting with them is one of my favourite memories from my time at CCLS.

How did your CCLS experience contribute to your career?
As a student of CCLS I was taught creatively designed, unique modules by passionate faculty. The love they had for their modules was inspiring. The enthusiasm they brought to the class motivated me to study well. It birthed curiosity in me to understand the topics in depth. Most of my modules were evaluated through the essays I wrote. Every student had the liberty to choose their own topic and develop them into essays. This not only helped in developing essential skills like original thinking and critical analysis, but also made the modules relevant for everyone. This process was extremely rewarding. The urge to dwell deeper into concepts hasn’t died since. My experience at CCLS showed me how studies can be fun. It made me fall in love with my modules. My interviewers from Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University could see this love and hired me as a lecturer of law! I worked there after my masters and have progressed to become an Assistant Professor.
After my masters at CCLS, I had reached out to Professor Johanna Gibson for guiding me for a PhD. She graciously reviewed my drafts and helped me develop my ideas into a proposal that got me the prestigious Arts and Humanities Research Council – London Arts and Humanities Partnership (AHRC-LAHP) Studentship as well as the Herchel Smith Scholarship. Currently, I am pursuing my pursuing my PhD as an AHRC-LAHP scholar at CCLS under the supervision of Professor Johanna Gibson and Mr. Gavin Sutter.
