We can’t wait to welcome you to Queen Mary. Join us for Welcome Week from 15 - 19 September 2025.

Settle into your new campus, get to know fellow students, learn about what to expect from your course and about the services available to you at Queen Mary.

What's on

Every day Monday 15 - Friday 19 September

Campus tours

  • Join one of the campus tours to get your bearings and Student Ambassadors' top tips to make the most of your time at Queen Mary.
  • Tours will leave from Library Square from 10am to 4pm, every 30 minutes, throughout the week.
  • No need to book, just turn up and look for the Campus tours sign and a student ambassador in a blue top!

The SU run a packed programme of events during Welcome Week and beyond - be sure to check out the QMSU events page.

  • Student Life - collect your Welcome Bag and ask us any questions about Queen Mary
  • Library Services - learn all about the many things that the library offers
  • Careers and Enterprise - it's never too early to start thinking about your next career move
  • IT - there to help you with any IT issues
  • TELT (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) - there to help you with any questions about QMplus
  • PASS - learn about Peer Assisted Study Support
  • Students' Union - talk to your SU representatives, and find out about all SU Welcome events
  • Cybersecurity (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) - learn how to protect yourself from scams and cybercrime
  • Course Reps (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) - find out about Course Reps and how to get involved
  • Buddy Scheme (Monday, Thursday, Friday) - meet some of our student mentors and sign up to the Buddy Scheme
  • QM Elevate (Wednesday) - learn how to hone your academic writing skills
  • Community Shop (Thursday, Friday) - stock up on uni essentials
  • HSBC (Thursday, Friday) - HSBC offer a bank account designed for international students and will be on campus to help you sign up if you wish to choose this account

  • 12-4pm, the Students' Union Hub (the Nest and Blomeley Rooms)
  • Start your student journey off on the right foot with top tips and resources for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Including free wellness activities, information on what support is available if you need it, and of course... freebies!

  • Hear live music from some of our student music groups - and find out how to get involved yourself!

International Students Welcome talks

  • 4-6pm, the Great Hall (People's Palace)
  • Essential information for international students
  • Living and working in the UK as an international student

Wednesday 17 September

BLSA Whitechapel Welcome Fair

  • 1-4pm, Whitechapel campus
  • The Whitechapel Welcome Fair for students at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Find out about the Barts and the London Students' Association (BLSA) which is part of the Students' Union
  • Check out the huge variety of Societies, Sports Clubs and Volunteering Groups BLSA and QMSU have to offer

Introduction to QM Elevate

  • 12-1pm, Peston Lecture Theatre (Graduate Centre)
  • Hear about the QM Elevate programme and how it can help you excel in your studies.
