Research Funding Support

Introduction to UK research funding and a programme of weekly writing retreats and support sessions for researchers actively preparing applications

Learn how research funding works in the UK and what you need to be competitive for it.

For those starting or drafting CVs or Narrative CVs, including the R4RI for a funding application

For those starting or drafting a Research Proposal (aka. Vision and Approach, Case for Support) for a funding application

A session focused on making your funding application approachable to everyone who reads it

Consider what will entice editors, reviewers and your target readers. 'Hands-on' techniques and strategies to plan and manage the successful writing of a research paper.

These welcome events are intended to introduce postdocs, fellows, and early-career academics to the support structures available at Queen Mary. Ideal for recent PhD graduates, as well as those new to Queen Mary.

An online career and professional development programme for early career women and non-binary researchers

This course will help you develop strong research relationships, assertive communication, negotiation and conflict resolution
