Receiving your results

This page refers to module results released via the Student Record System, MySIS.

Provisional results

Provisional results are those which have not been confirmed at an Examination Board and are subject to change. These results are released at the discretion of your School/Institute and your School may opt not to release them.

If your department has released your provisional results, you will have been sent an email to your Queen Mary email address with the subject line 'Provisional Results'. They are also stored within MySIS under the 'My Details' tab - scroll down to 'Assessment and Progression Information'.

Please note that Registry Services produce all documentation for students relating to official results. However, we will not produce a transcript or any documentation for you which displays provisional results, regardless of whether these are noted as being unconfirmed and subject to change.

Official results

Official results are usually released on a set day after your results have been confirmed at the Examination Board. These results are released by Registry Services.

Once your official results have been released, you will be sent an email to your Queen Mary email address with the subject line 'Official Results'. They are also stored within MySIS under the 'My Details' tab - scroll down to 'Assessment and Progression Information'.

The main official results release dates are found in the Registry Calendar, linked on the Registry Services homepage along with the HEAR publication dates webpage.

Your HEAR and official documents

Following official results release, students HEAR's will start to be updated and published via their Gradintelligence account. Please see our HEAR information page for guidance on eligibility and publication dates.

Visit our website for guidance on your degree certificate.

For information about final transcripts and other documents available to purchase, please see our Graduate Documents page.

Please note that Registry Services will not produce any official documentation that shows provisional results.

Reasons why your results have not been released

  • If you have an outstanding tuition fee payment then your results will not be released. Guidance on how to pay your fees can be found on our 'unpaid feesinformation page.
  • If you are being investigated for an assessment offence and your record is on hold, you may not receive full results information until the Appeals, Complaints and Conduct Office have completed their investigation.
  • If your marks have not been entered into the student record system or have not been ratified by an appropriate Examination Board by a specified deadline, it is unlikely that we will be able to officially release your results by the advertised date.
  • Students on a joint-China programme (BUPT / Nanchang / NPU) should be advised that your official results may be released at different times than the main official results release dates. Please contact your departmental administrators for guidance.
