Let's Meet... Our New TEL Student Ambassadors for 2025!

Two speech bubbles with Hello written in them.
As the new academic year approaches, our thoughts turn to Welcome Week and the upcoming TEL Induction Sessions. Many of our ambassadors have recently completed their studies and are now moving on to the next exciting chapter of their lives. I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our outgoing ambassadors for their dedication, enthusiasm, and all the hard work they've contributed. Now, it's time to turn the page and warmly welcome the Class of 2025!
Archisha
Hi! My name is Archisha and I’ll be heading into my final year of BSc Biomedical Sciences from September.
I’m thrilled to be joining the TELT ambassador team and supporting new students as they navigate learning technologies like QMplus, Turnitin and Q-Review, platforms that have played a huge role in my own academic journey. At QM, I’ve been involved in a variety of leadership and volunteering activities that have helped me develop my interpersonal skills which I’m eager to bring to this role.
Beyond my studies, I’m passionate about art, photography and skilled in music and karate!
Ben
Hey! My name is Ben and I'm going into my final year of BSc Actuarial Science.
I'm really grateful that I was given the opportunity to join the Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT)! I know how difficult it can be as a new (or current) student to adjust to the extensive resources available at Queen Mary and I'm ready to be a valuable asset in bringing attention to what we offer at Queen Mary, and teaching others how to make the most of it.
As an Actuary-in-training, I'm taught to turn seemingly complex information into something that is easily understandable, and I will apply these teachings to my work as a TEL ambassador.
I enjoy playing/learning the piano and I'm actually in a band called Lower Ground (a little bit of shameless promo). I also enjoy reading, specifically Manga and Light Novels, and I'm looking to start reading more non-fiction books.
Looking forward to joining the team!!!
Hannah
Hello everyone! I’m Hannah, one of your new Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT) Ambassadors! I am currently in my second year studying Accounting and Finance and when I’m not hitting the books I adore exploring London’s best coffee spots, it’s my go-to way to unwind and discover new places!
I decided to become a TELT Ambassador because I know how overwhelming uni life (and all the online platforms!) can feel at first and I want to help make that transition smoother for new students.
As part of my role, I will be supporting first- year students during welcome week to make them feel at home and comfortable in their new environment. I am passionate about using my experiences from first year to share useful resources and helpful tips to help others get the most out of Queen Mary’s digital tools such as QMplus and Microsoft Teams throughout the term to support their learning journey.
I am looking forward to connecting with everyone, sharing tips that helped me in my first year, and supporting students however I can!
Don’t forget to check out the TELT website and Instagram for updates, tips, and support throughout the year!
Hayat
Hello, I’m Hayat. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at Queen Mary University of London, with a strong interest in how technology can enhance learning, engagement, and mental well-being in educational settings. I’m thrilled to be joining the TELT team as a Student Ambassador and to play an active role in supporting students during their transition to university. I’m particularly excited to help others feel confident using Queen Mary’s digital learning tools and to contribute to a positive and welcoming learning environment. Outside of my studies, I enjoy exploring topics in behavioural science, writing, and getting involved in student-led initiatives.
Samuel
Hi everyone! My name is Samuel, and I’m really excited to join the TELT community as a Technology Enhanced Learning Ambassador. I’m currently going into my second year of a degree apprenticeship, studying for a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions (Data Analyst Pathway) at QMUL, while working as a Data Engineer at PwC.
My role at PwC focuses on generative AI and innovation, which has deepened my interest in how emerging technologies can support more inclusive, engaging learning experiences. At university, I also serve as a Course Representative, helping bridge the gap between students and staff.
I’m passionate about making digital learning more effective and enjoyable, and I look forward to contributing to TELT projects that drive real impact.
Looking forward to connecting with you all!
Sanzida
Stefania-Ramona
Hi! My name is Stefania, and I’ll be starting my third year in Politics and Sociology. Over the course of my degree, I have really enjoyed being involved in a lot of activities and working with other students on campus, so I look forward to being a new TEL student ambassador this year. I’m very excited to enhance the educational experience for both new and continuing students!
Outside of university or work, I love going for walks, visiting museums, or trying out new coffee places!
Waqas
Hi! My name is Waqas and I am pursuing a BSC in Accountancy, going into my second year of studies. Outside of academics, I'm passionate about staying fit, spending time with friends, and I enjoy watching combat sports and playing video games.
I am thrilled to be joining the TEL team as a Student Ambassador, where I'll be helping students navigate the digital tools that can truly enhance their learning experience. Being a university student is a big change and can feel overwhelming, but I believe that mastering online tools early on can make a real difference, from staying organised to engaging with course material more effectively.
I look forward to supporting students with my skill set as part of the TEL team!
