Careers and Employability

Careers and Employability are here to help you at every stage of your career journey, whether you are looking to explore your career options, acquire experience, showcase your skills or successfully transition into work, further study or your own business.

How we can help you in your first year…

Your first year is a great time to start exploring your career options. Maybe you have an idea about what you would like to do but want to learn more, or maybe you don’t have any ideas yet. You can find out about all of our services on the Careers and Employability website, but here are a few that might be useful to you:

Events

Find out more about the range of industries, part-time jobs and graduate roles available to you by attending a careers event. Log in to Careers Hub to view and book upcoming events.

Paid Work and the Aspire Programme

QTemps is QMUL’s own employment agency for students and part of the Aspire programme. Learn about the world of work and your own strengths and preferences as you gain paid temporary work around your studies.

Aspire is Queen Mary’s career development programme, consisting of work experience opportunities designed for the different stages of your career journey. Explore the Aspire webpage to find out more about the different opportunities available to you as a QM student.

Appointments

Discuss your career options with a careers consultant during a one-to-one appointment or attend a drop-in with your quick queries. An appointment can help you refine your CV or application, explore the different options open to you or help you identify the next steps for your chosen path.

Go to Careers Hub to see what’s coming up.

Come and see us on campus in the iQ East Court building on Mile End Road, we’re open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
