Christmas on campus Group

The Students’ Union have set-up a Facebook group and mailing list for students staying on campus halls or in London over Christmas.

The aim is to help people meet others who are staying so they can make plans together over the festive period. Christmas information and activity ideas in the local area and wider London area will also be shared.

Events and activities

The Students’ Union runs a programme of regular activities and events. This is complemented by events from student-led Clubs and Societies.

Students’ Union spaces – Opening Hours

The Students’ Union will operate amended opening hours across its spaces during the Christmas break – see below for further details.

Our Students’ Union Reception team will be contactable until Tuesday 23 December via their normal contact channels detailed at www.qmsu.org. The Students’ Union will then be fully closed from Wednesday 24 December until Sunday 4 January (except Qmotion which will operate limited days during this period). Our teams will be back to support you from Monday 5 January.

The Academic Advice Service will be closed to new cases from Saturday 20 December until Sunday 4 January.

  • Normal opening hours until Friday 12 December, 7pm.
  • Closed from Saturday 13 December until Sunday 4 January.
  • Amended opening hours Monday 5 January to Sunday 25 January: Midday-5pm for drinks, snacks and gaming. No hot food service available.
  • Normal opening hours from Monday 26 January (Weekdays: 12pm-7pm* open later for evening events – see qmsu.org/events for details).
  • Regular Get Active timetabled sessions will end on Friday 12 December and re-start from Monday 26 January. Special Get Active sessions will take place as part of our Study Well campaign throughout January.
  • The last Social Leagues match will take place on Friday 12 December, with new leagues resuming from Monday 26 January.

  • Closed Christmas Day 25 December until 1 January.
  • Amended opening hours Thursday 2 January until Sunday 25 January: Monday to Friday 7am-9pm, Weekends 10am-6pm.
  • Normal opening hours resume from Monday 26 January (Monday to Friday 7am-10pm, Weekends 10am-6pm).
  • Normal opening hours until Friday 12 December.
