ITS Shadowing Scheme
We invite all interested ITS staff members to register for our IT shadowing scheme. This Women in Tech initiative has been introduced within ITS to align with the QMUL Leading Together/Flourishing initiative.
As part of this program, staff members are encouraged to engage in work shadowing to gain valuable insights and experience in different areas of work, allowing you to learn from a department and team member of your choosing. The shadowing programme has been introduced within ITS to align with the QMUL Leading Together/Flourishing initiative.
Work shadowing allows staff to observe colleagues in action, enabling them to apply what they learn to their own roles and career development. It offers many benefits, including:
- Development opportunities for both the individual shadowing and the host
- Sharing good practice and knowledge across teams
- A chance for the shadow to "test out" potential career options and broaden their understanding of different roles within the institution
