Contacting Alumni
We are happy to provide Schools and Departments with information about their alumni. This might be for the purpose of statistical analysis, to invite alumni to events, to enlist the support of alumni volunteers, or to share news.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we will not generally provide contact details unless there is a specific reason why these are required, and would instead prefer that large-scale mailings be sent via the central email system. This enables us to track communications, collate responses and ensure that changes in contact preferences (e.g. email unsubscribes) are recorded automatically on the alumni database.
Although we can often turn around a data request on a same-day basis, please allow up to three working days. Also, if you are planning an event, please remember to give your invitees plenty of time to receive the invitation and respond (usually at least 8 weeks). We are able to manage the email and booking process so that you don’t have to.
