Convention de Stage

If you have secured an internship outside the UK, your employer may require you and Queen Mary to complete a 'Convention de Stage' or ‘Internship Agreement’ document.

Based on your circumstances, please refer to the information on this page for the correct form to use.

Important notes

Please allow yourself sufficient time to complete your documentation and for us to review and sign off your documentation, it is advisable to start the process as soon as possible to avoid any delays.

The Careers office do not provide a stamp, these are official QMUL documents signed by QMUL Careers staff.

We do not advise paying to undertake an internship.

If an internship is over 2 months in duration you should receive a remuneration.

For graduates, we can sign off the agreement if your course ended within the last three years.

For internships taking place in France

Employers in France may no longer accept university internship agreement forms but require their company specific convention de stage paperwork to be completed. If your internship is taking place in France, we recommend you first check with the employer if they will accept the Queen Mary standard agreement or if they will need to provide their own agreement.
