How to advertise opportunities
If you want to promote your roles to Queen Mary’s exceptional students or recent graduates, it’s free, quick and easy to do so via advertising on our job platform.
Our platform, TargetConnect, can be used to advertise:
- Short-term roles.
- Graduate level full-time roles.
- Internships and seasonal work experience programmes.
Roles shared on our platform are accessible to all of our current students and recent graduates, so it is an effective way of promoting your opportunities to prospective applicants.
Criteria for advertising
- Provide complete and accurate information concerning the vacancy. It is really helpful to potential applicants to get a full picture of the role you’re offering and the skills and experience you’re looking for.
- List the remuneration clearly on your advert, either as a set figure, an appropriate range or expressed by reference to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
- Queen Mary was the first university in the country to be Living Wage accredited and we ask our employers to adopt the same values. If your opportunity pays below the current living wage for its location, it may be rejected.
- There cannot be any cost for students and graduates to apply for the roles you advertise.
- We encourage all employers to consider students of all nationalities when advertising roles with us. Full-time international students can work up to 20 hours per week, and there are further guidelines about employing international graduates in our full terms and conditions below.
- List a website or provide contact information where candidates can learn more about the vacancy.
- Have appropriate Employers’ and Public liability insurance in place where applicable.
