As a Content Accessibility Champion, you will support your team in creating accessible and inclusive content.

Ways you can champion accessibility

There are lots of ways you can champion accessibility within your team or department. Here are just a few examples - 

  1. Tell your team about available resources.
  2. Signpost colleagues to specific guidance.
  3. Hold information sessions for your team.
  4. Offer to be involved in content projects.

What you will gain

Becoming a Content Accessibility Champion is also a great professional development opportunity. You will - 

  • Complete online training relating to content accessibility.
  • Join a cross-university network of champions.
  • Have the opportunity to lead on content accessibility within your team.

Who can become a champion?

Anyone at Queen Mary, in any role and with any level of experience, can become a Content Accessibility Champion. We are looking for as many colleagues as possible to get involved.

To become a champion you just need to - 

Complete the Content Accessibility Training

Once you have completed the training, just get in touch with content@qmul.ac.uk and we can add you to the network group, and list you as a champion on the website.
