New life-extending treatment for severe bladder cancer

  • A new life-extending treatment for bladder cancer has been developed by Professor Tom Powles from Queen Mary’s Barts Cancer Institute.
  • The revolutionary combination of chemotherapy with other drugs is the first new treatment for bladder cancer in 40 years.
  • Life expectancy for people with metastatic bladder cancer is just one year, but clinical trials of the new treatment showed patients living up to twice as long.
  • The extraordinary results led to Professor Powles being named as one of the 10 people globally who shaped science by the prestigious journal ‘Nature’.

Elcella

  • Elcella is a natural alternative to weight-loss drugs with zero observed side effects from the use of Elcella over three clinical trials.
  • Our bodies use hormones activated by nutrients to tell our brains when to stop eating. For many overweight and obese people this mechanism doesn’t work as effectively – reducing the ability to feel full and in control of eating.
  • Unlike weight-loss injectables, which use artificial versions of these hormones, Elcella unlocks the power of your own gut to release its own hormone supply, naturally. It is the first and only product to be scientifically proven to do so.
  • Elcella’s scientifically proven approach comes from over ten years of research by gut-health experts Dr Madusha Peiris and Dr Rubina Aktar at Queen Mary University of London – ranked in the top twenty-five globally for research.
  • The anti-obesity market is estimated to be worth $6B a year and expected to grow to up to $100B by 2030, according to Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, with more than a billion people obese.
